Terms of sale and use

Effective from 26 September 2026

These terms apply when you use www.mypetpics.art and when you buy from us. We ask you to agree to them when you check out. Please read them, especially section 10 on cancelling and section 11 on what happens if something is wrong. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.

1. About us

Pet Portrait Maker is run by Hampton.io Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 15728356), whose registered office is at 139 Old Station Road, Hampton in Arden, Solihull, West Midlands, B92 0HE, United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@hampton.io. If we need to contact you, we'll use the email address you gave us at checkout.

2. Our service

Pet Portrait Maker turns a photo of your pet into artwork in the style you choose, using artificial intelligence (AI). You can create and preview portraits free of charge; previews carry a watermark. You can then buy a digital download of a portrait, or a framed print of it delivered to your door.

You must be 18 or over to buy from us. Our products are for personal, not business, use.

3. AI-generated artwork

  • Portraits are created by an AI model. Every result is unique, and we can't guarantee a particular likeness, style or level of detail. AI can get details wrong, such as markings, eye colour or the shape of ears, so please check the preview carefully before you buy.
  • What you buy is the portrait shown in your preview, without the watermark. Prints are made from the same image; colours on screen can look slightly different in print.
  • Style names describe a look. We aren't affiliated with, or endorsed by, any artist, studio or brand a style is named after or inspired by.

4. Your photos and acceptable use

Only upload photos that you took or have permission to use. Don't upload, or ask us to create, anything that:

  • is unlawful, or infringes anyone else's rights, including copyright, trade marks and privacy;
  • includes other people without their permission;
  • is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing or discriminatory; or
  • is meant to deceive, for example to pass off a portrait as a real photo of an event.

You are responsible for the photos and any text you give us. We may refuse to create, or remove, content that breaks these rules. If that affects an order you've paid for, we'll refund you for it.

5. Who owns what

  • You keep all rights in your photos. You allow us to store, copy and adapt them, and to send them to our service providers, only as needed to create, show, deliver, print and support your portraits and to run the service.
  • Once you've paid for a portrait, you may use it for any personal, non-commercial purpose: print it, frame it, share it online or give it as a gift. Please ask us first if you want to use it commercially, for example to sell prints or merchandise.
  • Everything else on the site, including its design, text, style templates and software, belongs to us or our licensors. Please don't copy it, or remove watermarks from previews.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in your currency before you check out, and the total you pay is shown on the payment page, including delivery for framed prints. Payment is taken by our payment provider, Stripe, when you place your order. If we've made an obvious pricing mistake, we'll contact you before supplying your order, and you can cancel it for a full refund.

7. Your order

Our contract with you starts when your payment is confirmed, and we then email you an order confirmation. If we can't supply something you ordered (for example, if a print can't be delivered to your address), we'll tell you and refund you for it.

8. Digital downloads

Your download links appear as soon as your payment is confirmed and are emailed to you. Each link works for 30 days and for up to 10 downloads, so please save your files. If you need a new link after that, reply to your order confirmation email.

9. Framed prints

  • Framed prints are made to order by our print partner, Gelato, at a production site near your delivery address. Production usually takes 2–4 working days and delivery 3–7 working days, so most orders arrive within 5–11 working days. These are estimates. If your order hasn't arrived within 30 days, contact us.
  • We'll email you tracking details when your order ships.
  • Please check your delivery address at checkout; we may not be able to change it once production has started. We deliver to the countries offered at checkout.
  • A print becomes your responsibility once it has been delivered to the address you gave us.

10. Cancelling your order

  • Digital downloads. You normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. When you tick the box at checkout, you ask us to supply your download straight away and confirm you understand that you lose this right once the download starts (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 37). We confirm this in your order email.
  • Framed prints. Each print is personalised, made from your portrait to your choice of size and frame, so the 14-day right to cancel doesn't apply (regulation 28(1)(b)). If you contact us quickly, we'll try to cancel before production starts.

Full details are in our Refunds policy.

11. If something is wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

  • If a download is faulty (for example it won't open, is corrupted or isn't the portrait you chose), we'll replace it or, if we can't, refund you.
  • If a print arrives damaged or faulty, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you in full. After 30 days you still have rights under the Consumer Rights Act.

12. Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or of our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses, because our products are for personal use.

If digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content of yours because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or compensate you.

We don't exclude or limit our liability where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaching your legal rights in relation to our products.

13. Using the site

We may change, pause or withdraw the service or particular styles, for example to fix problems or improve it. Orders you've already paid for are not affected. Please don't misuse the site: don't try to break into it, overload it, scrape it or get around its limits.

14. Your personal data

How we use your photos and personal data is explained in our Privacy notice.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version shown when you place an order applies to that order.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there. If you live in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.

If you have a complaint, please email support@hampton.io first. We aim to reply within 2 working days.
